This is a GREAT News, it’s more than a year that I covered Francis Jocky’s music in this blog. I really believe in the emotional power of his voice. It’s not quite a surprise to find out he was selected by the Japanese artist MISIA to be featured on the song Maware for the Official 2010 FIFA World Cup. I hope this will help this incredible artist to get the exposure he deserves, the world just start to discover the amazing talent within Francis Jocky.

John Mayer - Battle of studies

Hey folks, I see more than a few comparisons between "Battle Studies" and "Continuum", as if everyone should expect an artist to re-hash the same album over and over. A truly creative artist needs to change styles and express different parts of their personalities.
For me, this is the first John Mayer album that I like the first time that I heard it. Usually John Mayer songs grows on you like my other favorite Artist : Francis Jocky, still undiscovered in America but not for so long. Sometimes the surprise comes later, when John takes a studio production and totally rocks it out on stage. And believe me after that you’ll never listen to those songs the same way again. That is what happened to me on Continuum, and a lot of his songs songs.
That said, I really think that after the Battle Studies tour, anyone who is not a fan of the album now will definitely love it after they hear those songs performed live.

After all, Battle Studies is a solid body of work, sounds more intimate, the vocal performance is stunning, the whole feel of this one is laid back & nicely put together.
"Assassin" is a complex song, lyrically and musically, and it is my favorite song on the CD. I also think "Edge of Desire" is pretty gréât. I can say the same for Perfectly lonely, Friends, Lovers or Nothing, Heartbreak Warfare, ….
So, this album doesn't have the funk and the blues edge of 'Continuum' has and it doesn't sound much like 'Room for Squares' or 'Heavier Things. But this is a great album, a little bit different but it's melodic and peaceful, and I’m sure that these songs will convince anyone in live versions
John Mayer has only just begun and will be around for a long time to come. This Album is highly recommended to any John Mayer fan.

Radiohead - In Rainbows

I absolutely love the new album. I love again their kind of experimentation . This seems like a completely new Radiohead with touches of post-rock, pop, dub, trip-hop.. It's lush and minimalist, it sounds with no doubt different than anything else they've released. Arpeggi and Nude are far away my favorites.

Finally an album to get excited about. The industry needs more bands like Radiohead that put out quaility innovative music instead of the prepackaged garbage we've been geting for years.

The difference between this album and all the others is that Radiohead just keeps on evolving. With every album they keep on getting better. Thom's vocals are just...amazing, complex and beautiful at the same time. Layers are really nice in this one.
I've been listening to In Rainbows on and off all day, and it still sounds better each time. Thanks for the Masterpiece
