Francis Jocky - Song of Freedom Reviews

Album - Mr Pain

WOOAHH !!, Thanks for sharing these infos concerning Francis Jocky. Yes now I definitively know that I'm not the only one to be touched by Francis's Powerful Melodies. I will post some interesting Reviews that I will found around this incredible Artist. Let's start with "Song of Freedom", this song is one of the Seven Wonders of this trouble World.

Hope Springs eternal

This song opens with a feeling of sunshine glinting off water on a gloriously windy day and offers a general feeling of peace, optimism and hope. This feat is pulled off nicely, as the instrumentation and sincere vocals all serve to elicit a feeling of soothing hope, peace and freedom in the listener. The wonderfully restrained piano does a lot to bolster this mood. Giving such a mood is truly giving a gift to the world in such troubled times.
Vicksburg - Mississippi

This is friggin' awesome !!!
So jazzzzzzy!
Love your choice of chords in your progressions.
I would (will) buy this if it's available. It's really good... bobbing my head.
Got a good groove. Nice backing organ combination; makes a good
fill for female backups (are they yet to come? ...we shall see)
I'll give this song a 5 just cause I really dig it. I'd love to see you live
with Ben Harper or Dave Matthews, maybe John Mayer...
Let me know when you're in Seattle.
Great tune. That pluck on the background is perfect.

Beyond Beautiful
This was really cool, I don't know what it's doing in the pop rock category though. It was very soulful, and I didn't want it to end. The entire arrangment is absolutely beautiful! I'd buy this in a heart beat !
Broken Arrow - Oklahoma

Ben Harper meets Coldplay
I was just thinking today about what Ben Harper would sound like if he had Coldplay arranging his music. So I think I found it. Generally enjoyable to listen to and a great vibe. This song will go into my "make-out mix" on my computer. Great piano work too.
Suburban - Maryland

Voice
This singer has a beautiful voice, very unique with awesome phrasing. The song itself is excellent, very catchy but not saccharine at all. Just unique sounding and the organ is a very beautiful touch.
Montclair - New Jersey

Beautiful song !
This song feels nice and has a beautiful vibe. I like your lyrics and your melody. Some strong string sounds and very nice piano. This sounds like Bob Marley doing a modern pop song. I think you guys are very original sounding too. This song has a Norah Jones feel that is very popular now with elements of jazz, reggae, rock, pop and r&b. You have tremendous crossover potential with your sound. The production and mix are top notch as is the songs arrangement. This song scores high marks from me and I expect to hear more from this talented artist!

Right away
Right away I think that I am listening to Dave Matthews. Very pretty song with a great violin pick. The production is great, enabling the listener to not get lost in all the instruments being used. The verse is very pretty and flows well. I really like the song and, despite the close sound to Dave Matthews (which I beleive the singer doesn't even know who he is and this is truly his unique voice) this is a truly gifted song writer.

The Reverend
Woow, nice intro. Straight into the verse. Nice rhythm with great bass tones and nice light drums. Great piano and that little drone not in the back is kinda hooky. The vocalists reminds me a little of some Al Green. I love the chorals at around 2:00. Wonderful mood. I really like this song. Great vocal harmonies. The piano solo in simple yet done with so much soul that makes it very nice. 3:47 is the perfect length. Nice Job
